Decision sync. Turn it on to carry ratings, keep and reject verdicts, keywords, captions, creator and copyright details, edits and versions, saved searches, looks, export presets, star meanings, composition intentions and marked observations, and the names of your sources between devices through your private iCloud account. It is off until enabled. Each device keeps its own local catalogue. Frames does not sync the catalogue file, originals or previews; iCloud Photos can carry photographs separately if you use it. See Decision sync.

Your files stay where they are. Frames stores ratings, keep and reject decisions, and edits in its own catalogue. Editing leaves original files unchanged.

Local processing. Photo processing and analysis run on your device. This includes RAW development, mask detection, scene search analysis and composition measurements. Frames does not upload photographs for processing or analysis.

This manual describes the current application. Frames opens still images only.
