5.10Colour grading
Colour grading gives shadows, midtones, highlights and the whole photograph their own colour and brightness.
Open Colour Grading, choose Shadows, Midtones, Highlights or Global, then drag the wheel: the angle chooses Hue and distance from the centre increases Saturation. The numeric Hue, Saturation and Luminance rows provide precise adjustments. Balance moves the transition between shadows and highlights; Blending broadens or narrows the overlap of tonal ranges. Start with a small amount and inspect skin and neutral colours.
The group follows the selected Background or mask layer, with the same bypass, RESET and undo behaviour as other adjustments. Grading can be included in a Look; Look Amount scales saturation and luminance while preserving hue and tonal transitions. Under Monochrome, colour grading stays stored but does not render; use Toning for the monochrome print.
